www.bibles.net/That looked like a decent on-line bible site... Any takers with comments or debatable topics on this thread are more than welcome... I just ask we standardize which version of the bible we are referring to. I had found another bible site, but the linking did not work to the reference text You can have the bible read to you continiously, 24 hours a day... The wonders of the internet!!! www.geocities.com/ad1611kjv/Edited to add: I can't find any online bible out there that agrees to content and quoting. There are different versions! I will do my best but the words are simply not the same. The bible has changed somewhat with time perphaps? What I am seeing is a work in progress... It is still not right and they have to keep working on it? How educated were the people writing? Do we have better data and more understanding now perhaps? And what happened to the orginal word.... After it has been changed so many times, so many ways? Who were the people responsible for these changes, and what was their purpose? Do all areas of the Bible agree with itself? If it is self-conflicted... Is it perfect, or a work of man?

And no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll or to look into it, and I wept much that no one was found worthy to open the scroll or to look into it. And of course the opening of the seals... www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=73&chapter=7&version=9&context=chapter"Do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God upon their foreheads." Revelations was the result of Wormwood... Wormwood contains a narcotic oil which will induce hallucinations. It is used to make absinthe, which is banned in many countries. It is toxic in moderate doses, and it will kill in high doses... And if people were drinking it until they were dead... That's some messed up hallucinating going on. What you are reading is an ancient "trip report", a documented and published insight of a banned drug... That people worship and claim as the word of God. And I was unutterably dismayed to find that the worst crimes in every nation were committed in the name of religion by religious people. In every country the blackest pages were the religious pages, and of all the religions, savage or civilized, the Christian religion had the most horrible record.www.egodeath.com/lsdreligion.htm#xtocid153128

Ha!!! One of my favourite subjects… I was brought up by a catholic mother and a communist father… yes that should tell you something about my mental state I never believe in Father Christmas (no, it is true, never) and was finally baptized, my mother’s long life wish and my father’s long time repulsion, at the age of 7 when my eldest sister decided to marry in church. I don’t know about now but back then, in my country it was necessary to be baptized before doing anything in church, even being done by the priest. I never red the bible nor do I want to but some of it was passed to me by my mother. To me the bible is a story book, fables and stories passed on and to a certain extent adulterated along the way to fit the times and ways. Personally I do not believe jesus existed and therefore of course I do not believe in god or gods. I believe that religion has been created mainly for the subjugation of women and no I am not a feminist but I look at the religions around the world and I see most of them subjugate women and take whatever power they may have. Religion nowadays is used for all manner of purposes, war, conflict, overpowering, subjugation, the list is vast. Most conflicts are started by religious reasons, and also religion creates poverty and misery by the beliefs it adopts. Just look at the likes of any catholic country like Brazil where women die every day because of having too many children since it is against the catholic church to take contraception as it is to have abortions which many also have due to the fact they can barely keep themselves let alone another child. To me religion, the bible, the koran and so on, it’s all a way to keep those who need the most under control and thus not asking the fundamental questions. But that is just me and my opinion…

The bible is the word of God, the world is flat and only a few millenia old, and the sun rotates around the Earth which is at the center of the universe.

www.usatoday.com/news/opinion/editorials/2005-08-08-our-view_x.htm'Intelligent design' smacks of creationism by another nameFor more than a century, scientists have over-whelmingly accepted the theory of evolution. As recently as the 1960s, however, teaching about the theory in schools was a crime in several states. Even after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned such laws in 1968, resistance continued. People offended or frightened by the notion of natural selection demanded the teaching of what they called "creation science," a thinly disguised version of the Bible's Genesis story with little or no grounding in science. That, too, was found to be unconstitutional, an attempt to preach one view of religion to a captive audience of many faiths in the public schools.

www.huffingtonpost.com/2005/10/07/ive-tried-spanking-him-_n_8511.html"I've Tried Spanking Him With A Switch Like Dr. Dobson Says, But It Hasn't Been Effective"... The bible is clear on this subject of the UNRULY CHILD. They will be STONED TO DEATH, this should be legislated along with that anti-same sex marriage amendment. It's states in the bible, so often USED by republicans and the Cafeteria Christians what to do with UNRULY children. Deuteronomy 21:18..."If a man has a stubborn and unruly son who will not listen to his father or mother, and will not obey them even though they chastise him, his father and mother shall have him apprehended and brought out to the elders at the gate of his home city, where they shall say to those city elders, 'This son of ours is a stubborn and unruly fellow who will not listen to us; he is a glutton and a drunkard.' Then all his fellow citizens shall STONE HIM TO DEATH." All your problems can be solved with a Bible and a pile of rocks too I bet

Ever take the Dante's Inferno Test? Ha! Lots of fun! My results were: Level 2 LUSTFUL
You have come to a place mute of all light, where the wind bellows as the sea does in a tempest. This is the realm where the lustful spend eternity. Here, sinners are blown around endlessly by the unforgiving winds of unquenchable desire as punishment for their transgressions. The infernal hurricane that never rests hurtles the spirits onward in its rapine, whirling them round, and smiting, it molests them. You have betrayed reason at the behest of your appetite for pleasure, and so here you are doomed to remain. Cleopatra and Helen of Troy are two that share in your fate. I didn't understand that unquenchable desires part as a punishment. To me, it sounded like a good book that never ended. But I'm weird that way. Another great site for Bible fun is the Skeptic's Annotated Bible. Always a treat.
